Our Classes

We invite children and adults to join our dance family for the 2026-2027 season!

Our classes teach Ukrainian folk dance, cover classical dance and choreography basics, develop coordination, flexibility, and a sense of rhythm, as well as stage skills and performance preparation. 

With Tsvit Kalyny, all classes will have opportunities to perform at concerts, festivals and cultural events. 
 

Little Kalyny Buds

  • Ages: 2.5-4

  • Focus: build coordination, feel rhythm, express creativity through play, music, and movement

  • Class length: 30min

  • Schedule: 

    • Arlington: Wednesdays 5-5:30pm ​

Growing Ensemble 1

  • Ages: 4–6

  • Focus: playful movement, coordination, introduction to folk rhythms and culture

  • Class length: 45-60min

  • Schedule:

    • Arlington: Wednesdays 5:30-6:30pm; Saturdays 10-10:45am

    • Bethesda: Saturdays 2-2:45pm

Growing Ensemble 2

  • Ages: 7–11

  • Focus: technique, choreography, stage performance, cultural education

  • Class length: 60min

  • Schedule: 

    • Arlington: Wednesdays 6:30-7:30pm; Saturdays 10:45-11:45am

    • Bethesda: Saturdays 2:45-3:45pm

Full Bloom Ensemble

  • Ages: Teens and Adults, all levels

  • Focus: traditional choreography, musicality, community, performances

  • Class length: 75-90min

  • Schedule: 

    • Arlington: Wednesdays 7:30-9pm; Saturdays 11:45-1pm

    • Bethesda: Saturdays 3:45-5pm
